MICHELLE M. BRACKE, a Shareholder with the Firm, has over 25 years of experience counseling insurers and litigating coverage matters at both the trial and appellate levels, in a multitude of federal and state jurisdictions.  Ms. Bracke has litigated matters involving all types of policies and coverages including first party coverages, professional liability,  errors and omissions,  directors and officers, employment, general liability, rescission and policyholder fraud.   Ms. Bracke is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Missouri, the District of Nebraska,  and the Eastern District of Wisconsin,  and the United States Courts of Appeal for the First, Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits.   For multiple years, Ms. Bracke has been elected by her peers as an Illinois Leading Lawyer in the area of Insurance Coverage and Reinsurance Law, a distinction earned by fewer than 5% of all lawyers licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Ms. Bracke is also a certified mediator and regularly mediates disputes for a volunteer organization  at Cook County courthouses and privately.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Bracke was employed for a number of years in the industry, as both an insurance company claim representative and broker, in the United States and at Lloyds of London, England.

Ms. Bracke is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.G.S.), and Loyola University of Chicago (J.D.).
